In fact, the generator is a kind of standby power supply. When the urban power supply we use suddenly goes out of power, we want to continue to work and can only rely on the generator to supply power. Now let's understand how the generator realizes the standby power supply?
The generator is a device that can convert other forms of energy into electric energy. It can use water, steam, diesel and other power fuels to drive machinery to drive the power generation device to realize energy conversion, and then convert the power generation device into electric energy.
1. Working principle of generator
The basic working principle of generator is actually based on the two laws of electromagnetic induction and electromagnetic force. The electromagnetic induction circuit composed of magnetic and conductive materials is used to generate electromagnetic power generation, thus realizing energy conversion. When its internal rotor rotates in the stator, it makes the movement of cutting off the magnetic field line, thus generating the induced potential, which is connected in the circuit through the lead, and generating the current.
2. Generator composition
The generator is mainly composed of stator, rotor, end cover and bearing. The stator is composed of stator core, winding winding, frame and other structural parts that fix these parts. The rotor is composed of rotor core (or magnetic pole, magnetic resistance) winding, protection ring, central ring, slip ring, fan, shaft, etc. Then the stator and rotor of the generator are assembled by the bearing and end cover.
3. Classification of generator
Commonly used generators are divided into DC generators and alternators.
The principle of smart use is divided into synchronous generator, asynchronous generator, single-phase generator and three-phase generator.
Power generation methods include steam turbine power generation, water turbine power generation, diesel power generation, gasoline power generation, etc.
Energy is mainly divided into thermal generators, hydraulic generators, etc.
4. Application of generator
It can be said that generators have a wide range of applications in our daily life, especially in the fields of hospitals, communications, finance and so on. Therefore, generators are of great significance to meet modern production and operation.
When it comes to the source of electricity, most people think of coal and water. In fact, generators, as prime movers (mechanical energy), have been widely used to convert electrical energy into permanent or temporary power for external circuit equipment of small and medium-sized enterprises such as industry, commerce, schools, etc. Small generators can also be used as emergency backup power supply for families to prevent accidental power failure due to weather conditions.
At present, there are many types of generators, which can be divided into synchronous generators, asynchronous generators, single-phase generators and three-phase generators in principle. It can be divided into steam turbine generator, water turbine generator, diesel generator and gasoline generator according to power generation mode. In terms of energy, there are thermal generators, hydraulic generators, wind turbines, etc. With the promotion of the national "double carbon" plan, engine manufacturers and researchers are also actively looking for more energy-saving and environmental protection materials, or renewable energy.
